Drone-Pictures charges its aerial services according to time spent on locations, without limitation of the number of flights or images to shoot: our fares are dispatched on three different packs: 60 minutes, half day, full day. Discounted prices from the second day.

Lower price on the Drone Zenmuse X7 6K Drone option
Super35mm sensor - RawDNG/ProRes/ProresRaw codecs - focal length from 14 to 75 mm
The price of our Drone Inspire 2 + Zenmuse X7 option (has the 6K in Raw or ProRes) is going down, and the super wide-angle Laowa 9mm is now included in the optics pack!
- the price of the X7 option on our Inspire 2 Drone Drone Drone Drone Drone 2 has been lowered from +250€ht/day to +150€ht/day compared to the X5s configuration.
- we offer, at no extra cost, an ultra-wide-angle lens with a new 9mm Laowa lens (14mm equivalent)!
Everyone offers the 4K because all drones have been carrying these cameras for several years.
The 5K is already rarer on the market because not only do you need an Inspire 2 type UAV, but also the licence to film in ProRes or Raw/Dng, and at least the X5s camera.
As for the 6K, only a few dozen operators offer it in France, including Drone-Pictures since 2018, with the superb Zenmuse X7 camera and its host of dedicated lenses, from 14 to 75mm.
The 6K in RawDNG, essential for shooting with your ground shots filmed in Red Helium 8K for example.
Our Raw or Prores packs include 2 CineSSD discs of 480gb, and focal lengths from 14 to 75mm (35mm equivalent).
Our Double Inspire 2 pack includes 2 identical drones:
- 2 DJI I2 drones approved S1-S2-S3 (parachutes)
- 2 cameras (X7 and X5s)
- Raw/DNG and ProResRaw license
- 2 CineSSD
- 4 Radio controls
- 2 CrystalSky 7.85" screens and an iPad
- 24 TB50 batteries
- 4 double chargers
Depending on the main set-up you need, the DJI Inspire 2 UAV will be equipped with one of our two cameras: the X7 with super 35mm sensor (above) or the X5S with M4/3 sensor (below).
Each camera comes with 5 Prime lenses (DJI for the X7; Zuiko Olympus for the X5s, and 2 Laowa super wide-angle 7.5 and 9mm lenses).
You have the choice for the codec: H264 or 265, Raw/Dng or ProRes, ProResRaw (X7)
All you have to do is choose the resolution: HD1080p, 4K, 5.2K, and with the X7, 6K in ProresRaw or Raw/Dng (see details on embarked cameras here)

What include our fares for a drone shooting ?
- the main bird with all sort of needed accessories, approved by french DGAC authorities for the required scenario (S1,S2, S3), ready to fly and daily checked by our technicians.
- the best brushless gimbals and cameras of the moment: Dii Zenmuse X5S with Raw and ProRes licence, or the Zenmuse X7
- a pilot allowed to fly in France, higly skilled and keen with aerial image capture
- when needed, a pro cameraman with a heavy background in the aerial photography and footage fields ( up to 25 years)
- The needed cameras gears and lenses
- Two mini iPads
- a mini drone quadro Mavic 2 Pro with a 4K camera and a one inch sensor, for any optional shooting idea that may occur in narrow spaces or tricky locations
- a professionnal insurance (RC) mandatory for any french drone operator (AXA)

DroneFAQ#08: Why is a drone shooting is so expensive ?
Everything is relative, but most serious UAV operators, established over the last few years, seek to maintain balanced accounts in their annual balance sheets. The approach is healthy and responsible and for this, they practice a daily rate around 1500 € for a drone, manned by an experienced team (pilot + cameraman), including the camera, batteries and monitors.
This amount is generally divided into the following four components: 1/4 going to the pilot, 1/4 to the cameraman, 1/4 covering the equipment costs, the last quarter paying the regular costs to maintain the activity.
It should also be noted that owning several drones and several cameras (even modest) involve investments sometimes important for companies often small and often use credit to finance these recurring purchases, given the rapid obsolescence: between 15 and 50K€ invested over 2-3 years in most cases.
These short-term credits generate high monthly payments. Barely reimbursed, we must take another to fund new equipment more efficient, always requested by customers.
Other factors directly affecting the rates:
- the seasonality of the activity that makes the bulk of the missions is done during a short period of time: 6 to 8 months per year of revenue versus 12 months of constant expenses,
- maintenance costs of the equipment,
- the batteries (100-200 € / each) are expensive consumables whose life is very short (50/100 flights at most),
- the breakage and the risks of loss are far from negligible: insurance premiums are therefore substantial (1000 to 3000 € / year)
- compliance with the regulations requires a good training (3000 €), time to research each site and then contact the authorities: it ranges from one hour to a day of administrative work upstream, often not invoiced
- the experience of pilots and cameramen at your disposal: their dexterity, their imagination, their know-how, their knowledge of the region, as well as their enthusiasm are as many guarantees for the success of your images.
In sum, you might just ask yourself the following question:
"Can I afford to risk missing a shoot by choosing the cheapest provider, so certainly the least experienced, and perhaps the least reliable?"
And how to evaluate the added value of talent, precision, creativity, enthusiasm, responsiveness, strength of proposal?
The answer belongs to you and you know from experience, that everything has value.
